We know Google Forms is a handy tool to use for making registration forms and surveys to collect data from respondents, but Utrecht University does not have any data processing agreements with Google to protect user data. Therefore, using it for official UU purposes is not compliant with the GDPR and the data protection regulations at UU.   

As an alternative for forms and surveys, use one of the following platforms that we do have data processing agreements with and can remain in compliance with the UU data protection regulations and GDPR : 

• Microsoft Forms: A similar product to Google Forms, included with our Office 365 subscription as a University, integrates with Excel directly.  
• FormDesk: A hosted service at UU that is best used for event registration (More information available on Intranet)   
• Survey.uu.nl: This is the web address for our licensed version of Qualtrics, which is a great platform for making in-depth surveys with.
