Yoda Network Drive
In addition to using the web portal, you can also access as a network drive for exchanging data between your computer and Yoda. To set up a network drive with Yoda, you must first generate a Data Access Password (DAP). This temporary password, used in combination with your email address, allows you to establish a connection with Yoda. The DAP is valid for 30 days, after which you will need to generate a new one. You can create a Data Access Password in the Yoda web portal by following the provided instructions.
Once you have your password, you can configure and connect the Yoda network drive to your system. The configuration process varies depending on whether you are using Windows, Mac, or Linux. Detailed instructions for each operating system are available on the Yoda website. The URL for adding as a network drive is different from the web page, the URL is geo.data.uu.nl.
The Yoda network drive allows you to interact with Yoda similarly to how you would with other local or network drives. You can perform basic tasks such as uploading and downloading files, creating folders, copying, moving, and renaming items. However, for more advanced functions like adding metadata, submitting data, or publishing data, you will need to use the Yoda web portal.
